OFFICE HOURS:  (subject to change)

Monday-Sunday 9:00 am-8:00 pm

CHECK-OUT TIME: 12:00 pm

Subject to space availability, guests who wish to extend their stay until 6:00 pm should make arrangements with the office when checking in. A “late departure” fee of $10.00 plus GST ($10.50) will be charged.

CHECK-IN TIME: From 1:00 pm to office close

SPEED LIMIT: The speed limit in the campground is 10 kph (approximately 6 mph).

There are children playing in the campground, PLEASE SLOW DOWN!

CAMP HOSTS:

After office hours a “Camp Host on Duty” sign will be posted on one of sites 34, 35, 36 or 37 to designate which host is available each night.

LOCK IT OR LOSE IT:

Please secure all your COOLERS and other MOVABLE VALUABLES such as chairs, stoves, cameras and bikes.

PUBLIC LIABILITY:

George Lane Campground is not responsible for any loss of or damage to personal or private property, whatsoever.

Management reserves the right to refuse entry to the campground by any person or animal without notice or reason.

PARKING:

  • Please park on the gravel on YOUR campsite or in one of the designated vistors’ parking areas. Absolutely no parking is allowed on roadways, grass or unoccupied campsites.
  • Please do not park in campsites other than your own. Empty sites are not necessarily unoccupied sites.
  • A maximum of 2 vehicles may be parked on a single campsite in addition to an RV, trailer or tent at any time. Additional vehicles and/or guests must park in the ball diamond parking lot or the designated visitors’ parking near the office.

QUIET TIME:

  • Quiet time is 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
  • No music or noise after 11:00 pm.
  • All visitors MUST LEAVE the campground by 11:00 pm.
  • Your guests are your responsibility. You are responsible for their proper decorum in the campground.
  • GENERATORS ARE NOT TO BE USED IN THE PARK OR CAMPGROUND AT ANY TIME in accordance with municipal By-Laws.

CAMPSITE: Your campsite must be kept tidy in appearance during your stay and left clean upon your                                      departure.

There will be a minimum $25.00 charge levied if your site is not left clean.

Fire pits are not to be used for burning or disposing of rubbish. Do not burn shipping pallets or skids. You may use your own CLEAN firewood (no metal, such as nails, paint, stain, pressure treated or other chemicals) or purchase firewood at the office.

Please do not walk through  other registered campers’ campsites, use the roads and paths.

GARBAGE:

Blue recycle bins are located throughout the campground.  Please use them for disposing  of  your refuse and/or recyclable cans and bottles, not the fire pits.

Allowable disposable trash does not include used motor oil, broken lawn chairs, torn tents or old groundsheets, old  transmissions, etc.

RECYCLE:

Please place cans & bottles in the blue recycling containers provided throughout the park. Unfortunately, we cannot recycle paper, cardboard or disposable gas canisters.

WASHROOMS:

The washrooms are locked at all times.  Upon registration, you will be given a combination number which will allow you access.  Showers are free and are to be used by registered guests only. Pets are NOT allowed in the washrooms.

PETS:

  • Pets must be kept on a leash or tethered at all times, whether on your campsite or elsewhere in the park in accordance with the Town of High River By-Laws.
  • Pets may not be left unattended when their owner leaves his campsite.
  • Droppings must be picked up immediately.  Pets are NOT allowed in the washrooms and are NOT to be left unattended.

EMERGENCY:

In case of an emergency – call 911.  All emergency services have keys to the campground gate locks and hosts are on 24 hour standby for such situations.

CONSUMABLES: Wood, ice, pop, water, and munchies are available in the office during business hours.

RESERVATIONS:

  • Reservations may be made by telephone at (403) 652-2529
  • For long week-ends, a minimum 3 day reservation is required.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • For not canceling your reservation with more than 48 hours notice, or not showing up, 1 night of camping fee will be charged.
  • For not canceling your long weekend reservation with more than 10 days notice of cancellation, 3 nights of camping fees will be charged.
  • Once a campsite has been paid for, no refunds will be given.
